Summer is around the corner which means I need to be prepared with ways to stay cool and healthy snacks! Two things I’m always stocked with are fruits and FAGE Total Plain Greek yogurt, both a nutritional snack alone and combined!
Snacks are always a request in my house, so I realized it’s easier to just prepare snacks ahead of time to make it easy to grab and go. One of my favorite recipes to make when it’s warm outside is Greek yogurt bark. I like using FAGE Total Plain Greek yogurt because it’s Non-GMO Project Verified, has no added sugar, and full of protein that tastes delicious.
The creamy FAGE Total Plain Greek yogurt is available in three varieties: FAGE Total 5% Whole Milk, FAGE Total 2% Low-Fat and FAGE Total 0% Nonfat. For this particular recipe, I used FAGE Total 0% Nonfat.
Tropical Greek Yogurt Bark Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups of FAGE Total Plain Greek Yogurt
- 2 tbs maple syrup
- 1/2 cup mango
- 1 kiwi, cut into small pieces
Preparation
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to avoid the yogurt sticking on
- Mix Greek yogurt and maple syrup in a bowl. Pour onto the lined baking sheet and spread evenly into a thin layer using a spoon.
- Add mango into a blender and pour over Greek yogurt, you can use the same spoon to spread and swirl
- Sprinkle kiwi all over
- Place in the freezer for 4 hours or until frozen solid
- Remove from freezer and break yogurt bark into the desired number of pieces
- Serve cold and enjoy
The frozen Greek yogurt bark melts quickly. The bark can be stored in freezer food bags. When you’re ready to serve, just grab one from your freezer and enjoy. It’s a simple recipe and convenient way to have a great-tasting snack ready to grab and go. You can also experiment with different fruits, let me know your thoughts and leave a comment below!
