My toddler and preschooler are both picky eaters. So when it comes to eating, especially snacks, I try to offer healthy choices and sneak in as many nutritional foods as possible. This is where, as a mom, I have to up my sneak tactics! Who else can relate? The healthy homemade yogurt melts are a huge hit in my house!
HOW TO MAKE HEALTHY YOGURT MELTS AT HOME
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Get a small piece of kale and make sure to cut along the stem so it’s easy to discard. Chop kale into small pieces.
- In a small bowl, mix together the vanilla greek yogurt, kale, and HappyTot Whole Milk Yogurt until completely incorporated.
- Pour mix into a resealable bag and cut a tip.
- Squirt small round dots into rows onto the baking sheet.
- Once the baking sheet is full, plate into the freezer for at least 2 hours to harden.
- Pop off the yogurt melts and store in a freezer bag.
Give them a little shake after taking them out of the freezer and grab a few at a time. The yogurt bites melt quickly, but it’s not something I’m too concerned over. My little ones eat them so fast that the yogurt bites melting is never an issue.
These yogurt bites are a healthy treat and soothing for toddlers with sore gums.
You can also use the recipe without the vanilla greek yogurt, I added it because my four year old loves it and it mixed so well with the HappyTot Whole Milk Yogurt.
The Happy Family Yogurt line was mindfully crafted with organic ingredients, whole milk yogurt, probiotics, Vitamin D, and with no added sweeteners. Probiotics help support your baby’s belly. My toddler’s favorite yogurt is the banana, mango & spinach flavor.
