My daughter was only two when she became a big sister. I remember looking at her big brown eyes when I was pregnant and wondered how in the world I’d be able to love someone else as much as I love her. I didn’t think it’d be possible.
The moment my little boy was placed in my arms everything changed. The worry was instantly gone. My heart grew, my love multiplied. I can’t even describe the amount of love I felt the first time my daughter met my son. She walked into the hospital room with her “Big Sister” tee shirt we picked out together at Carter’s a few weeks before, proudest little toddler I’ve ever seen. Those first few minutes of them together replay in my head over and over again.
She quickly came to love her new big sister role.
My now four year old and one year old have transitioned from siblings to friends. It’s been a pretty magical experience to be able to acknowledge the change.
Carter’s is still one of my favorite stores to shop at. I always find adorable toddler clothes for both my children at great prices. Have you seen their latest spring toddler clothes yet? ADORABLE!

Who knows, some day I may be a mom of three, or even four! Only time will tell. But for now I’m going to enjoy being a mom of two. Simply just loving, loving them both for their uniqueness and watching their friendship grow. Living in the moment because I know that one day I’m going to miss them being this little, miss all of this.
