The heat shouldn’t stop you from spending time outdoors. In fact, one of my favorite things to do in the summer is to work on my garden. There are plenty of warm-season fruits and vegetables you can easily grow in your backyard.

My husband built a raised garden bed for us a few years ago and it’s always full of vegetables. It was very affordable and easy to make. I love getting the kids involved any way I can. They usually help with planting and taking care of the vegetables. They have so much fun getting dirty and so do I! There’s no reason why we shouldn’t get dirty when we’re gardening! Right now, our garden is full of cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, and zucchini.  Nothing is better than eating food that comes straight from your garden!
