The heat shouldn’t stop you from spending time outdoors. In fact, one of my favorite things to do in the summer is to work on my garden. There are plenty of warm-season fruits and vegetables you can easily grow in your backyard.

My husband built a raised garden bed for us a few years ago and it’s always full of vegetables. It was very affordable and easy to make. I love getting the kids involved any way I can.
